What will you do?

As a Maritime Technician at Flagship Shipyard, you will work on the technology behind the largest electric fleet in Amsterdam. From our harbour location, you ensure that our electric boats remain safe, reliable and ready for operation.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs and providing technical support for our fleet. You analyse technical issues, determine the best solution and assess whether a boat can be repaired on location or needs to be brought to the shipyard. Thanks to your technical knowledge and problem-solving approach, our boats stay operational.

Practical

• Location: Amsterdam (Flagship Shipyard)

• Employment: 32–38 hours per week

• Working days: Monday to Friday & flexible availability during weekends

• Salary: According to the Metal & Technology Collective Labour Agreement (CAO)

  • Indicative €2,900 – €3,300 gross per month (depending on experience and education)

• Start date: In consultation

Your responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues;

• Carrying out repairs and maintenance on electric boats;

• Solving urgent technical problems;

• Assessing whether a boat can be repaired on location or needs to be brought to the shipyard;

• Maintaining and inspecting battery packs;

• Checking electrical systems and installations;

• Thinking along with practical technical solutions;

• Recording completed work and used materials.

Requirements

• MBO or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;

• Demonstrable experience in a technical role (medior level);

• Experience with electrical installations (experience with boats is a plus);

• Hands-on mentality and a solution-oriented approach;

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility;

• Flexible availability, including weekends;

• In possession of a driving licence (category B);

• Boating licence is a plus;

• Good command of Dutch and/or English;

• Living in or near Amsterdam.
