Event Coordinator Amsterdam

What will you do?

As an Event Preparation Coordinator at Rederij Aemstelland & Flagship Amsterdam, you will ensure our luxury saloon boats are perfectly prepared for a wide variety of cruises and events. From intimate dinners and weddings to corporate receptions, you are responsible for the presentation, setup, and preparation on board. You are hands-on, detail-oriented, and spend much of your time on the boats and in the harbor. Together with our captains and colleagues, you make sure every cruise starts in a flawless setting, creating a premium experience for our guests.

Your responsibilities

As an Event Preparation Coordinator, you are responsible for the preparation and presentation of our fleet. Your tasks include:

• Creating and arranging elegant table settings, including flowers, candles, and decorations;

• Selecting and placing tableware, glassware, and cutlery;

• Restocking and managing onboard supplies;

• Maintaining inventory at the office;

• Keeping the fleet clean, organized, and presentable;

• Performing light maintenance tasks;

• Receiving deliveries and preparing returned goods;

• Assisting captains with arrivals and departures;

• Contributing to a safe, clean, and enjoyable working environment.

Practical information

Location: Amsterdam
Employment: Part-time to full-time (32–40 hours per week)
Salary: €2,681 gross per month based on a 40-hour work week
Working hours: Usually between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with weekend availability required
Start date: To be agreed upon

Requirements

You are practical, detail-oriented, and enjoy creating the perfect setting for every event. In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You speak English;

• You are at least 18 years old;

• You are available to work at least one weekend day;

• Experience in hospitality or the service industry is a plus;

• You have a strong eye for detail and work in a structured way;

• You are motivated and enjoy a hands-on role.
